Aluminium gravity die casting in Pune

Sound, dimensionally consistent aluminium castings in LM25, LM6, ADC12 and A356 — cast in dies we design and build ourselves, from trial batch to series supply.

What is gravity die casting?

In gravity die casting, molten aluminium is poured into a reusable steel die and fills it under gravity alone — no high-pressure injection. Sand or metal cores form internal passages. Because the die is metal, the casting cools quickly, which gives a finer grain, better mechanical properties and a smoother surface than sand casting.

Compared with high-pressure die casting, gravity die castings carry less trapped gas, so they can be heat treated and suit pressure-tight and structural parts. Die cost is lower too, which makes the process economical for medium to high annual volumes.

When gravity die casting is the right choice

Choose GDC when annual volumes are too high for sand casting but too low to justify pressure die casting tools; when the part must be heat treated or hold pressure; when it has thick sections or cored internal passages; or when you want a good as-cast finish that needs less machining.

Alloys we cast

  • LM25 (Al-Si7-Mg) — balanced strength and castability, responds well to heat treatment.
  • LM6 (Al-Si12) — excellent fluidity for thin walls and strong corrosion resistance.
  • ADC12 (Al-Si-Cu) — good machinability and dimensional stability for housings.
  • A356 (high-purity Al-Si7-Mg) — high strength and ductility after T6 heat treatment.

FAQ

Questions buyers ask

What do you need to quote a casting?

A 2D drawing or 3D model (STEP/IGES), the alloy, any heat treatment, and your annual quantity. Machining requirements help us quote a finished price.

Who owns the die?

Die ownership is set out in your quotation. Usually the customer pays for the die and owns it, and we maintain it while it runs in our plant.

Can you make a small trial batch first?

Yes. We run trial castings for fitment and testing before series production, using the production die.

Do you supply machined parts?

Yes. Machining and finishing are done through our partner network, so you can receive ready-to-fit parts with one point of contact.

Do you export?

Yes. We pack and document shipments to export requirements.
