Gravity die design & manufacturing

We design the die around your part — parting line, gating, risers, cores and cooling — then build, trial and correct it in our own die shop until the casting meets the drawing.

Why the die decides the part

Most casting defects — shrinkage, porosity, misruns, dimensional drift — are designed in or designed out at the die. Because our die designers work beside the people who pour the metal, trial results feed straight back into the tool, and corrections are made in days.

How a die project runs

  1. Drawing review and agreement on critical dimensions.
  2. Die design and approval.
  3. Die manufacture in our shop.
  4. Trial castings and measurement.
  5. Corrections until samples are approved.
  6. Handover to production — in our plant or yours.

Dies for other foundries

If you run your own gravity die casting machines, we can design and build dies for your parts and support the first trials on your line.

FAQ

Questions buyers ask

What input do you need to design a die?

A 3D model is best; a fully dimensioned 2D drawing also works. Tell us the alloy, critical dimensions and expected annual volume.

Can you correct or rework an existing die?

Share the die details and casting problem and we will assess whether correction is practical.
